Brighten someone’s day with this cheerful card featuring both Lemon Lolly cardstock and the Regal Flora bundle. Although I do like the Regal Winter papers that coordinate with the Regal Flora stamp and die set, I wanted to go outside that color palette for something really fresh and bright.
I quite intentionally chose a color I don’t feature often (ever): Lemon Lolly. It’s a nice accent color, but how about making it the main color? I gave it a go.
I first embossed the Lemon Lolly panel with the Plaid embossing folder, then changed my mind when I wanted to use the plaid strip of cardstock next to it. So I embossed it again with the Modern Herringbone folder, and I got this quite unique “double embossed” look. I like it!
I admit I had fun with these flowers. Once I decided to break from my usual style and palette, I started using all sorts of colors, and honestly, I quite love it. I realized while making this project that I am perhaps too conservative in my color combinations.
Under the flowers we have Calypso Coral and a Pretty in Pink die cut. Then the flowers are Pretty in Pink, Calypso Coral and Peach Pie with Old Olive for the leaves. I love all those colors together atop Lemon Lolly.
Then I made another version, this time with the Distressed Tile embossing folder and Fresh Freesia in place of Pretty in Pink. I like this one equally as well. How about you?
