Today’s share is the project I made in last week’s Facebook Live, and features a slide and lock feature on the card. This idea was inspired by a swap I received and the locking box idea I shared a few weeks ago.
This card was the version I made in the Facebook Live, and it was such a happy accident that the circle feature worked so nicely with the Dotted Circles Embossing folder. The more I use this folder, the more I like it! It goes with flowers, but can also look like droplets for sea images . . . just a really good, general background.
The flowers and the circles are from the Spotlight on Nature stamps and dies. This bundle includes a stamp set with pretty floral and butterfly images, and then a rather large set of circle dies, all with details along the edges. The dies in particular are quite useful with any images you may wish to use.
As you’ll see in the video below, the main image slides off and on to open the card, making use of the little channel in the center of the card.
I made a few variations of this type of card, and I wrote down the measurements of the each of the card bases for your convenience. Please enjoy the Slide & Lock Card Base Variations download with my compliments.
