I really like the look of flowers or leaves in neutrals, such as browns and grays. Today’s card is a remake of the vibrant card I shared yesterday. For this version, I’ve re-done the Happiness Abounds flowers in Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, and Early Espresso for a very different effect:
To create the flowers, stamp the flower images from the Happiness Abounds stamp set with Versamark, then heat emboss with white powder on Fluid Watercolor Paper. Next, watercolor the flowers with a mixture of Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, and Early Espresso. Die cut with the Blossoming with Happiness dies.
I’m quite partial to watercoloring. I like how every time they turn out differently. It’s so easy to blend the colors when using watercolor paper; anyone can do it on the first try!
I like to show a sample of what else can be done with a stamp and die set, even after the coordinating printed paper are used up.
