Easy Emboss Resist Technique with Flowers Fair Stamp
Today’s share is a fun one. My favorite way to color is watercoloring – it’s so forgiving and easy to blend. I pulled out the beautiful Flowers Fair stamp, and paired it with Highland Heather. It’s been a while since I’ve used purple on a card.

First, for the emboss resist technique, start by embossing your image. I used white embossing powder here on Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper.
Next, I gave it all a light color wash with Pool Party. I did this for two reasons: one, it gives a nice background between the flowers. And two, it makes those flower outlines much easier to see.
Once the background is dry, paint in the flowers. I used Highland Heather, Granny Apple Green, Berry Burst, and Crushed Curry here. Let dry.

I used the Words of Beauty die and stamps for the sentiment. I really like having die cut words for layering options and “heavier” impact.
For the “because”, Highland Heather was too light (imo), and Gorgeous Grape was too dark. So I cut it with Highland Heather, and then clear embossed it, which deepened the color, while also adding shine. When cutting, I put Foam Adhesive Sheet on the back first, and that gave me a precise foam backing to make that word really stand out.
