Branching Out with a Pohutukawa Twist!
Today’s share is a fun variation using the versatile Branching Out stamp and die set. This beautiful set was designed to be a douglas fir, but how amazing is this when done in different colors? Check out my Pretty Peacock version here, too.

Pohutukawa is a native New Zealand flower that blooms just in time for the Christmas season. I love how this stamp set can be so versatile just by changing the colors. Here in New Zealand, we can use Real Red with Early Espresso for our New Zealand friends, and switch it up to a green for our Northern Hemisphere friends and family.

I paired the Real Red with a touch of Cloud Cover and gold, for a fresh, but still festive effect.
TIP: Use the lightest touch you can when stamping the dot stamp from this set. I suggest to my students they ink it up with just the weight of the block, then lightly just tap it onto the cardstock.
