Sunflower Embossing Folder with Elements of Text

Today’s project is another fun card with the Sunflower Embossing Folder, this time paired with the Elements of Text stamp set. I wanted this project to be monochromatic, with the focus on the more subtle layers.

I used the Gray Granite Two-Toned cardstock for two reasons: first, I wanted to use the white core for both the light sanding and the torn edge.

Second, the two-toned cardstock has two colors – one on each side. I made use of that with the layers on this card so it was all the same color, but different shades.

It’s very subtle in the photo, but I first stamped the Elements of Text all over the from panel (also in Gray Granite), before embossing with the Sunflower Embossing Folder.

I like this adds several depths of interest to this front panel: stamping, embossing, sanding, and splattering.
