Welcome to the All Star blog hop for the month of March! This month we are featuring the Rock and Roll Suite, which includes the Rock Star stamp and die set. Enjoy the projects, and then read on to see how you can get the Rock and Roll Video Class for free!
For my project, I wanted to combine the striking images in this set with a grungy background technique:
The Merry Melody folder is a great choice to combine with the Rock Star stamp set images.
First, I inked up one side of the embossing folder with Versamark (the wide with the logo on it).
Next I put my Basic White paper through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine inside the folder.
Then sprinkle with Clear Embossing Powder, shake off the excess, and heat.
The resulting heat embossing with be very patchy with that folder.
Last, select colors you like and watercolor. The embossing powder will resist the ink, leaving some white areas. It’s a very grungy, imperfect look, but I love it with the strong black and white bold images!
