Under My Umbrella and the coordinating Umbrella Punch have been a cute favorite of mine! Not only are they perfect for quick projects, but the open lines of the Under My Umbrella stamp set allow for both coloring in or the easy paper piecing technique:
Who doesn’t love a cute lineup of shoes?! Whether you call them galoshes, rainboots, or gumboots, they are just adorable in any color!
Paper Piecing is a fun technique that also makes use of those small scraps of paper. You can use every last bit! It’s best suited for papers with a small print.

I’ve made two rainbow versions here, but of course you can choose any color combination that suits you or the recipient of your creations. Stampin’ Up! color coordinates all the prints within any one pack of papers, so you don’t have to experiment too much to create a pleasing combination.
How to Paper Piece:
- Choose an image with an open design (not too much detail).
- Choose a printed paper. Usually one with a small print works best.
- Stamp the image onto the printed paper.
- Use a punch, a die, or scissors to cut out the image or a portion of the image.
Use as is or place over a second image to create a multi-layered look (such as paper piecing just the pants over an image of a person).
