I am looking forward to seeing many of you at the Hamilton Quilt & Craft show this weekend! Before I leave home tomorrow, I’d like to share with you a double layout scrapbooking page I’ll be teaching in my September classes:
I designed this layout based on a sketch challenge in the Stampin’ Up! Global Scrapbooking Facebook Group. I struggled quite a lot with this to get the balance to work out, but these papers are just so pretty that I wanted to use them!
I paired a few colours that I wouldn’t normally, such as Vanilla and Whisper White, I thought the Vanilla Shimmer Laser cuts were a soft contrast against the white. My daughters tell me they hate sequins, but they were just the thing to tie the colours together. And I like them . . . .
On the second page, I wanted to bring the bird print in, but keeping true to the sketch (mostly), so I’ve just added a little tag here. One of my favourite little elements on this layout is the Petal Pink strip, embossed with the Country Floral folder, and then painted with the Frost White Shimmer Paint. So pretty!
Join me for a class in September or October (Hamilton) to make this and other layouts! See my full calendar HERE.
Thanks for stopping by!
