Welcome to Colour Inkspiration Challenge #29! The crew would like to kick off this challenge with a blog hop. Join in the challenge over the next 2 weeks and share your lovely creations, too!
Our colours this time are Blushing Bride, Garden Green, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, and Chocolate Chip:
Well, this combination and the photo certainly lend itself to vintage, and my scrapbookers LOVE a vintage layout, so that’s what I’ve created for you today:
Okay so I am totally in love with the Heartfelt Blooms stamp set (SaleABration free gift). Not only does it make a good focal point, but it makes a wonderful background print as well. This reminds me of old wallpaper or the screen in the background of the photo.
It’s been a long time since I pulled out the old favorite, Chocolate Chip. It’s a really nice brown with a bit of red to it. Accents here are Copper Embossing Powder, Pearls coloured in with the Bronze Stampin’ Blend, and Copper Metallic Thread.
Faux Patina is a technique I come back to again and again. It’s a really easy and neat way to create a printed paper to suit any colour scheme with a vintage feel. I just love doing this in a class and seeing so many different outcomes, too. Here I’ve used the four ink colours plus Copper Embossing Powder.
Thanks for stopping by! Next stop: Jackie Noble!

Wow, that is a beautiful scrapbook page and of course the subject image is beautiful too! I have never heard of faux patina before, guess that is just making something look old that is not. Thanks for sharing your talent!

I Love that stamp as a background jacque- it was one of the first details I noticed. Your layering of all the elements is so sweet. I’ll have to try Faux Patina as a class!
