Welcome back to another Colour Inkspiration Challenge! The next fortnight’s colour challenges are:
And today I am long overdue making a wedding card for a dear friend from high school, so I decided this colour combo would be my inspiration.
Now this card is for a guy friend whom I haven’t seem for decades, so I didn’t want it to be too gushy or too feminine:
This card was inspired by a design from LeAnne Pugliese. The wedding is at an Aquarium and is definitely nautical themed, so I wanted to run with that.
The Stitched Circle is watercoloured to create the beach scene, and I added a bit of Wink of Stella to the water for sparkle. But not tooooo much!
Removing the Rich Razzleberry and going along more with his wedding colours, I made a little set of coordinating thank you cards to include in his gift. (I’m sending him a lambswool blanket). I know four isn’t nearly enough, but thought he could use these for those extra special friends.
These are essentially the same design, but with a bit more colour and texture. Possibly considered a “mistake”, but I quite like how the ocean here bled into the sky a bit. It looks like the water is misting or moving, at least.
I hope Jamon loves these; I sure enjoyed making them for someone special. I do wish I could be at his wedding after all these years, but alas it lands right when the Hamilton Quilt & Craft Show is and the wedding takes place in the USA. How excellent we can make things from the heart, especially for times when our hearts want to be with someone.

What a perfect greeting for a wedding. And I love the pinewood planks in the background. These cards are gorgeous in these colours.
This set of cards is definitely one of the best examples I have seen using this set. I think I will need to CASE. Love how you used the challenge colours for the very special wedding card.
