It’s time for another Global Video Hop, and this month we are each focusing on a die cutting technique. I chose a very simple, but fun and effective idea for my technique: die cut stacking!

The idea is simple: cut the die of your choice multiple times in various colors and stack them together for a subtle pop of color. This works especially well on a monochromatic project with a bright color underneath.
For today’s samples, I’ve used the Artfully Layered bundle with the Artfully Composed Papers, the Layering Vellum, and the Faux Sea Glass Shapes.

While making this video (below), I also included 10 tips for working with your detailed or intricate dies. I know they can be challenging, especially the ones you tend to use a lot! I’ll share with you some tips for working with dies that either don’t cut well and/or preventing the paper becoming so embedded it’s a mission to release from the die.

Thank you so much for stopping by my stamping and crafting studio today! ~ Jacque Williams
Great teaching session, really clear and easy to understand. Will try the tips with some of the difficult dues I have. 🤙😎
Hope they help! 🙂
Thanks for the great tips. I can relate to every one of those problems, so an answer for everything was very helpful. Loved the colour stacks for the cards too. Beautiful.
I’m glad that helped! xxx
Loved the stacks! I never would have thought of that.
Thank you, Ellen! 🙂
