One of the many amazing things about Stampin’ Up! stamps is their innovation, and Distinktive stamps are one of those incredible innovations. The images stamp with striking detail, just by simply inking and stamping!
The Welcoming Woods set is one of the many Distinktive stamp sets on offer:
For this project, I’ve stamped those detailed tree trunks with Early Espresso. Next, I added the horizon in Crumb Cake.
And last, the leaves stamped out beautifully in Real Red, Cinnamon Cider, and Bumble Bee. All this stamping takes about one minute.
The Happy Birthday is heat embossed with Copper Embossing Powder, one that I was pleased to see make a comeback in the Stampin’ Up! catalogue.
How to Heat Emboss
- Stamp your image with Versamark
Versamark is a clear, sticky ink
- Cover the image with Embossing Powder
A fine embossing powder works best for detailed images
- Shake off the excess powder
Use a small brush to remove any stray powder that has remained where you don’t want it
- Heat until melted with a Heat Tool or Embossing Gun
Use a tool specifically designed for embossing for safety.
