I had the pleasure of spending the day with Val on Sunday – so great to see you! She passed along these little cuties for me to share with you today.
Val's taken the Chocolate Chip Scallop Notes card and mixed it with Bashful Blue and Pumpkin Pie here. I like the embossed background and the layering of the punched shapes.
The little cluster of elements in the corner is a great design technique – one that I use quite a bit in scrapbooking. It's much more effective to have a little grouping than to scatter your elements all over the project.
Val's second card has a completely different look. She's combined the Pink Pirouette Scallop Note with the Sweet Always papers and made a sweet baby card, one that's perfect for tucking in with a gift. The main image here is from the Level One hostess set, Punches Three.
It's a neat idea to punch out some of the elements from the printed paper and then pop them up to mirror the dimension of the button. Clever!
Thankks, Val!
