It's taken me days to put this together! It's strongly inspired by a layout in our gorgeous Idea Book & Catalogue, but I didn't have all the same gear and wanted different colours . . . I had fun playing around and threw away a LOT of cardstock and ribbon in the process!! Sofie and I are happy with the final result.
These photos are from 2006 when Sofie turned four and had a frog birthday party. The crown is one that sits in our china hutch and we only get to wear it on our birthdays .. . I just love all these fun expressions I grabbed of her while her daddy was reading stories to the group.
The top corner has just a bit of printed paper, scraps of ribbon, and a single button for embellishments. That scallop circle stamp is from the Circle Circus set, another one that I haven't used hardly enough. It's fun and gorgous.
I loved using a splash of the silver Glitter Paper on this layout – these papers are still available even though they are not listed in any of the current catalogues. Love them! Must get more!
And my scrapbooking ladies will learn some colouring techniques with these cute little animals in the Under the Big Top stamp set. This is a good way to tie all the colours in this layout together. Simple Circle Punch and layer with the good old Scallop Circle – easy!
I hand wrote the journaling and then hand cut it for an uneven look. Let's hope all the new ladies in class tonight like it!
