Welcome to May’s All Star Team Blog Hop! This month we are featuring the adorable Ice Cream Corner Suite in both our exclusive tutorial collection and in our blog posts today (different projects in the tutorials than on the blogs).
My project for today’s post focuses on the two-step stamping feature of this cute set.
What is two step stamping?
It’s when an image is created by layering two or more stamped images on top of each other to create a multi-layered, multi-toned image:
The ice cream sticks are stamped with two different images in Cinnamon Cider, so the final result is the stick with extra detail.
The ice blocks (or popsicles) themselves are stamped with two stamps, one in Rich Razzleberry and one in Bermuda Bay to create that awesome two-toned effect. It’s then stamped a third time in Blackberry Bliss with the splatter image.
The Ice Cream Corner Suite also comes with this sheer Blackberry Bliss ribbon. I’ve cut it in half here (lengthwise) to create a thinner ribbon. I didn’t want to detract from those yummy ice blocks too much with a big bow.
The Stitched with Whimsy dies are a wonderful compliment to many (all) of your images with that fun frame around the stamped images.
