Today’s share is a quick card to make, but one that is really effective for using those beautiful papers or ones with a scenic print, like the gorgeous Thoughtful Journey papers.
Everyone seems to love the thistle print in these papers, and I wanted to showcase them while still making the card interesting. I cut the print down to size, making sure the image I wanted was centered. Then I simply cut through the image to create a shutter look.
The coordinating Thoughtful Wishes dies have this really great bough die, which I’ve cut out here from Mossy Meadow. It’s just gorgeous. I’ve recently made a card where I cut this same die out of silver foil, which is even more stunning. (I’ll share that next week).
I wanted to use more prints in the Thoughtful Journey paper pack, so I also made this version with the more Cajun Craze print. To be honest, this version seemed the most popular!
This little label die comes from a different die set, and one that I’ve used SO much. It’s called Happy Little Things, and it’s just a tiny set with two small label dies. I love it; and it’s a really good one to have in your stash and it works well mixed in with other images.
