Well this one was a lot of fun to make! Not your traditional wedding page, but wedding photos nonetheless.
I took this layout directly off a great sample I saw online by Sarah Webb. She used different colours and products, of course, and I changed this one up to suit my photos.
This looks so much better in real life . . .
The background is done using the chaldboard technique, and of course the black background makes the bright colours in the Sycamore STreet DSP really zing.
The Happy Day title I felt was really appropriate for this very happy and fun layout, and also with the smiling, bright pictures of the wedding. (yes, you may be looking at my wedding photos for some time yet!) My students will be able to change the title up to suit their themes.
A little collection of small items that coordinate can create an effective embellishment. I wanted to use lots of these Sycamore Street buttons on this page, but it didn't suit what I was doing. Hopefully others who do this will make use of them! They are just perfect.
Isn't it funny how you can have a whole heap of supplies out to use and find that it just won't "work" when the vision comes out on paper? Part of the fun and the challenge!
I used a wee stamp from the Ciao Baby stamp set and the Mini Curly Label Punch from the SaleABration promotion (Gee, after SAB is over you guys may have to hand cut these 🙂
Now one guess as to how I got that black brad? The standard black brads were way too big for what I had in my head, so I had to get creative . .
Stamping directly onto printed DSP isn't something I think to do very often, but it's very cool. Must do it more!
This is my first time working with Summer Starfruit, and it's growing on me! Paired with Pool Party, it's quite nice, actually. And Sandra so kindly wore a sweater in exactly that colour – thank you.
