Sweet Talk Masculine Valentine or Anniversary Card – Clean & Simple

It’s a new year, a new mini catalogue, and a new Saleabration! It’s an exciting time in the Stampin’ Up! world. Today’s share is all about the Sweet Talk Suite, and the All Stars Design Team is sharing a project featuring this cute love-themed collection.

I go in phases, and right now I’m in a clean and simple phase, which doesn’t necessarily mean “technique free”, but rather means a lot of clear space on a project and a striking focal point.

Although Valentine’s Day is not really a “thing” here in New Zealand, any day is always a good day to tell someone you love them. In fact, I think it’s something I could personally do a lot better on, particularly to the special women in my life. I tell my husband and children every day, but not so much anyone else.

Absolutely the cutest part of this suite is that adorable little envelope die. We had one briefly last year, too, and I used it and used it. Don’t we all just love mini things?

A great way to use small images or elements is to repeat them in some way to make one larger element. As you can see, I kept most of these the same color as the background, and chose one to make pop, both in color and by opening it up and hearts popping out.

I kept the colors something a guy might like. I think it’s good to take an seemingly “girly” set and show how it can be used for the men, too.
