This month I am featuring the Hold on to Hope bundle – a beautiful set of stamps and dies perfect for sympathy, encouragement, Easter and more. I’ve made a beautiful religious card for the Tutorial Bundle (see below), so wanted to showcase a more “general” card to show versatility:
The background is a technique called Faux Patina – basically embossing with the Brick Wall folder, sponging on Early Espresso ink, and then lightly adding highlights of the Gold Embossing Powder.
The Gold Flakes are fun to use! They add a little bit of shine, which makes a nice contrast to the rest of the more vintage elements.
I colored the floral image with Always Artichoke, Cherry Cobbler and Blushing Bride Stampin’ Write markers. There is a die to cut this flower out (yay!) for other projects. Tie a bow and add some Gold Metallic Thread over top for a nice finish!
