This morning we had Team Training and for our project (make and take), I thought I'd give the Freshly Made Sketches challenge a try. I was in the mood to do some original designing, and this gave me the boost I needed to get going!
We used the technique here called Sponged Framelits, inspired by a lovely swap I received in Utah from Marelle Taylor. She did a beautiful job:
We both used the Secret Garden Stamp set and the matching Framelit Dies.
First, the images are stamped using the Whisper White Ink. Then we made a mask using the framelit dies and scrap cardstock. Place over the images and sponge the ink colour through over the white ink. Gorgeous!
The upper left hand corner embellishment is one of the clay flowers,
made with the new Clay and Clay Molds. After letting this air dry for
some hours, I then painted it with a mix of Crystal Effects and Crisp
Cantaloupe ink refill. They were pretty quick to dry, and I just love how the ink settles into the grooves like that.
If you'd like to order any of the above supplies, I'd love to be your demonstrator!
You can order online here or email me to place your order!
