Today’s share is a card I made featuring the Citrus Blooms dies, but in alternative colors to the Mediterranean Blooms papers that coordinate with the Citrus Blooms Stamp and Die set. I love how this turned out!
The Citrus Blooms dies have this wonderful leaf border die. It’s so elegant, and perfect for framing something really special or pretty.
The first version I made used Petunia Pop and Berry Burst inks for the flowers. I love these cute little guys! The combination of the pale Soft Sea Foam and the bright flowers with the dark wood print is quite striking.
The words are embossed on a small piece of the Country Woods papers, a great set of wood prints that combine with other paper packs for a gorgeous contrast.
I’ve also used the Distressed Tile embossing folder in the background to give that feeling of old tile. I think this texture pairs nicely with the pale green leaves.
The second time I made this card, I selected Pool Party and Summer Splash inks for the flowers. I’ve always liked the turquoise and green combination. If I had had a son, I would have done his room in this color combination.
Add just a bit of Linen Thread and a few strands of the Summer Splash ribbon to add some texture to the little flowers.
