Today’s share is inspired by Laura Mackie and her cute card with the Darling Donkeys paired with the Balloon Punch! I was inspired to make a similar card, with a few added details using this limited edition stamp set:
The Darling Donkey images are just so cute, and they are perfectly suited to a more clean and simple card design, like this one.
Simply colour in the image with any of the gray or brown Stampin’ Blends. Be sure and add a little ground for the donkey to emphasize that he or she is kicking up!
My favorite part of this card is the Linen Thread curled around in a very 3-D manner for the balloon string! I’m not often a fan of “flat” cards, so just this string adds enough to make this card feel finished to me.
I’ve curled the Linen Thread around, placing a very small dot of Tombow Glue where the string touches the card. Easy – and an idea I think I’ll use again!
