One Sheet Wonder: Rectangles with Painterly Pears
Today’s share is another free one sheet wonder template download, this time with rectangles! These one sheet wonder templates use 6×6 sized papers, which works well with your 6×6 packs or your 12 x 12 packs.
For these samples, I’ve used the Painterly Pears papers, a really pretty, elegant set of printed paper:
All the Painterly Pears pieces for these card fronts are rectangles, making the cutting relatively simple and straightforward.
I quite liked this yellow print. I don’t normally go for yellow, actually, but the warm tones of Darling Duckling do pair very nicely with the dark Secret Sea. Plus, I left a good deal of white space on these designs, so the yellow isn’t overpowering.
For this simple design, use three large rectangles for the background. Orient the card any way you choose, add ribbon, a sentiment, and a few gems to finish. This Mossy Meadow ribbon has a bit of gold running through it for some extra lux – great for Christmas, too!
The second card is similar, just removing one of the rectangles for more white space. Add a focal image and stamp a sentiment to finish.
You could orient this one horizontally, too.
And my personal favorite, use small strips to create a “scrappy” background. These could be arranged lined up staggered. I chose to line them up on one side, and tear them on the other for an interesting, but still simple, effect.
