Hello friends! Today’s share is another great project with the brand new Eden’s Garden collection, and this time featuring the Disappearing 9 Patch Technique! This was a new Designer Series Paper idea I saw on the Splitcoast stampers site, and wanted to give it a try:
This is a great background idea for using up small scraps and featuring many/all the prints in the Ever Eden Paper Pack. It would also be a fantastic card to give to someone who enjoys quilting (patchwork) or sewing in general.
As a side note, it’s best to use paper with small prints for this technique.
I adore this sentiment in the Eden’s Garden stamp set. People in New Zealand by nature aren’t very “gushy”, but I think this saying is just adorable. It’s something a little different for a sympathy card, for example. It’s also really perfect for this time in history where so many of us are separated by travel restrictions, even within the same country or cities.
Did you notice what I used as my “label”? I cut the frame die from the Eden’s Garden dies in gold foil, but then cut the same frame in Basic White. I stamped on the inside part that usually gets thrown out, then nested it back into the gold frame. (See the video below for more of a visual explanation)
