The new It’s A Science stamp set really appealed to me (perhaps because of my love for science thanks to an outstanding 8th grade teacher), and I just love the fun sayings and cute images. Plus, these are images that might appeal to any age or gender.
For this card, I’ve created a simple window with the 2 3/8″ circle punch, a really great “basic” for your crafting room stash. I’ve punched the circle out of each of the three layers here for a 3D effect with that microscope.
No dies for this stamp set, so back to good old scissors to cut this cutie out! You could also just stamp it directly on the white background without cutting it out.
I kept the extra details fairly simple because I intend to give this to my son in law for his birthday this weekend, and I know he wouldn’t like lots of details. (He’s an engineer and appreciates clean lines).
A little blend of Lost Lagoon behind the microscope gives a nice, but subtle, backdrop for the main images.
