I’ve had so much fun creating cards with the new Butterfly Brilliance bundle. Today’s share is the project I made on last week’s Facebook Live, featuring beautiful white embossed vellum. It’s a wonderful technique for butterflies in particular:
Looking at this card makes me happy! A square card works well to have a collection of elements as an easy focal point. And the great thing is with this bundle, you stamp once, cut once, and you have six butterflies in one go!

How to Color Vellum:
- Stamp your images on vellum.
You can stamp with a permanent ink (Staz-On), or you can heat emboss with Versamark and embossing powder.
- Turn the vellum over and color on the back.
You can color on the front, if you want to, but by coloring on the back, the color is much softer.
- You will need to use an alcohol based marker.
A water based marker will take a long time to dry, if at all. Use an alcohol based marker (Stampin’ Blends) for quick drying and the most vivid color.
Did you know you can also color in your ribbons? While you have your Stampin’ Blends out, why not give that a try? The White Seam Binding Ribbon is ideal for this technique.
You can use your alcohol based markers to color in embellishments to match as well.
Please enjoy this video below where I show you the Butterfly Brilliance bundle and then make the card above, step by step and with measurements. And I’d love it if you’d subscribe to my YouTube channel while you are there. Thanks so much!
