Heart Happiness – Masculine Valentine for Colour Inkspiration #25

 

After a short break, the Colour Inkspiration Crew is here to kick of Challenge 25! I love this fresh, striking colour combination -Lemon LIme Twist, Night of Navy, and Whisper White:

 

I thought this colour combination was suitable for the guys in our lives.  It’s almost Valentine’s Day, which is not a huge celebration in New Zealand, BUT no matter what day it is, it’s always appreciated to say I love you to someone dear. Or simply change this up to Happy Birthday or Happy Anniversary, etc.  All the images are from the new Heart Happiness stamp set.

 

While this card is clean and striking, there are a few little techniques here.

It’s subtle in the photo, but the glitter washi tape below the sentiment is coloured with the Night of Navy Stampin’ Blends. Yes you can use your Stampin’ Blends on washi tape, too!  Now you can have glitter washi tape in any of the Stampin’ Blends colours!

The card is not folded in half, so I’ve created something of an asymmetrical card so the Night of Navy embossed card on the inside shows on the outside when the card is closed. You can see this better below:

 

The smaller Night of Navy heart is both stamped off and “kissed” onto the floral image in the Heart Happiness stamp set to create this fun texture without being to frilly.
