One of my favorite things in the Mini Catalogue is the Enduring Beauty bundle. Not only is it gorgeous, but the way the stencils work with the stamped images is very innovative! I love it when we have tools to make it so easy for a most fantastic effect.
So the Enduring Beauty Bundle includes a stamp set, dies, and a set of five stencils (masks).
For this first method, I used just the stencils (or masks). Even without the outline, the effect is quite pretty and soft.
I’ve also used the brand new Sweetly Scripted stamp set, a fast favorite. This reminds me of the old Wonderful Words, one we used so much way back when, too.
For the second method, I added in the stamped image in Memento Tuxedo Black along with the stencils. You can see it’s quite a different effect with the strong outline. I didn’t try it, but one could also stamp the outline in a softer color.
And for the third sample, I used just the stamps and colored the image in with Stampin’ Blends. So you’re not obliged to use the stencils, of course, if you want to sometimes color in or watercolor, for example for a completely different effect.
And for the fourth method, I used all three components: the stamps, the stencils, and the dies. Personally, I like this best because I like the flowers going “outside the square” for more interest.
