Embedded Embossing Technique with Hot Air Balloons (Lighter Than Air)

I’m loving creating with the Lighter Than Air hot air balloon stamps and dies, and for today’s project, I wanted to share something that veered from the colors in the suite. I wanted to go for more of a vintage circus feel for this one, so selected Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Poppy Parade, and Coastal Cabana.

I used the embedded embossing technique for the background, embedding the Crumb Cake clouds into the Very Vanilla with the crosshatch Basics Embossing Folder. It’s a very easy technique, but really makes the background that little bit unexpected.

For the balloons, I heat embossed the images with white embossing powder on colored cardstock, which gives a really great effect with just a little bit of color.

Just a few splashes of bright colors (Poppy Parade and Coastal Cabana) seemed just right for the feel of this card.
