Today’s share is a fun card and technique my daughter, Madeleine, taught at the recent Senz Papercrafting Expo here in Auckland. We offered a class all about embossing folder techniques, perfect for both cardmakers and scrapbookers to make the most of their embossing folders.
For the Faux Wood Burn technique, I’ve used the Countryside Blossoms embossing folder. For the best effect, in my opinion, a folder with bold details is most effective.
The Countryside Blossoms folder works well not only for its bold design, but I think the images themselves are just right for a wood burn effect.
A simple tag with the Natural Prints dies with a few embellishments finishes off this fantastic background without detracting from the wonderful embossing folder technique.

I would like to do the online tutorial shown on your website. Title: Countryside Blossoms Folder, pix shows background using the embossing folders and I think I read your daughter taught a class with this technique. I can’t find it listed when I click on “one line class”. Help.

Hi there. Yes my daughter taught a class with this project at a papercrafting expo. This technique not YET in my online classes, but will be very soon. I’ll do a technique class all about embossing folders. 🙂
