Although this is not a tradition that I grew up with, I think it's a great one that we may adopt over time. What a fun thing – to have cleverly packaged gifts on the table for everyone to open.
This year, why not make your own? it's very quick, easy, and probably will save you money, too. (Unless you plan on putting jewelry inside) For my class purposed, we just used eclairs . . .
Keep the embellishments simple as one would likely be making quite a few – great thing to have on hand for pop-in visitors. This particular design is made so the box does not get ruined upon opening, which is a real bonus for those of us who appreciate the time put into handmade items! 🙂
