Happy Queen’s Birthday Weekend! It’s always a fun weekend at our house because it’s my middle daughter’s birthday. Tomorrow she turns 20.
I’m quite excited about today’s project share – what is a simple card turned out quite fun to make!
In the video below, I show you a few tips on how to create the watercolor wash background without getting dark streaks.
I started out with the Crushed Curry (yellow) and then decided to just play with a range of colours.
The Honey Bee Bundle is discontinuing . . . (sad face), but you can order it over the next two days until 3 June, 2020 or until sold out.

So the card on the right turned out to be my favorite, and it actually started out as a mistake. I did the Crushed Curry background then went to do one in Rich Razzleberry, but forgot to clean off the Aqua Painter. And I got this lovely mix of yellow and wine colors . . . Hmm I might try that again on purpose!
And this one is probably my second favorite – a layer of Coastal Cabana with a brush of Crumb Cake over the top.
I hope you enjoy the video below!
