This fortnight’s colour challenge is one I think you’ll love! Well this has long been a favorite colour combination of mine: Elegant Eggplant, Bermuda Bay, and yellow green (here Lemon Lime Twist). I’ve been looking forward to this one:
You’ve landed in New Zealand on the Blog Hop. And you, too, can share your creation with the above colour combination in the Colour Inkspiration Facebook Group!
My share is using Embossing Paste, my new favorite technique:
The background is embossed with the Hexagon Embossing Folder first, then the paste is applied over top using the Brick mask. I added a few drops of the Pool Party ink refill to give it a soft blue to contrast with the dark purple.
And the copper? Yes that’s embossing powder. How fun was that?!
The main image is from the die and stamp bundle, Beautiful Bouquet. This one is reminiscent of the Thoughtful Branches we had about a year ago, which I loved so much. The dies here are done in the Lemon Lime Twist and the Bermuda Bay. I added Wink of Stella and a few pearls to the flowers, too.
The background wash is done in Pool Party and is on Watercolour Paper.
Of course you can mix this up to use different colours, but I do love these rich, jewel tones.
What can you come up with using this colour combination?
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of the hop. Your next stop is Narelle Farrugia
