Just in the nick of time! Wow - that has been the story of today all around.
Tongiht's class was a cool scrapbooking layout and I used the Just Add Ink Challenge for inspriation:
The main theme for tonight was learning how to (or one way to) add a bit of colour to Black and White photos.
The ladies all did very well – all of their works of art turned out just amazing. It's a neat way to add a real neat interest to your photo.
The layout design is relatively simple (inspired by May PageMaps www.pagemaps.com), but we did add a fair bit of detail. Personally, I've been binging on sponging and antiquing, so wanted to keep this one a bit more sleek, but still elegant.
I had to hold my breath while stamping directly onto this original photo (yes, I can be idiotic at times – must be lack of carbs). But all is well. A strategic flower covers all sins.
The words are from Heard from the Heart, but using only a portion of the sentiment. Removing the "wishing you" portion makes this perfect for a scrapbooking layout.
The frame is from the Hodge Podge kit. I've filled it with the new Heart Punch done in reverse and tied on a bit of So Saffron ribbon.
The title is cut out with the Big Shot and our new alphabet – Timeless Type. Loved how easy it was to whip those out! All three of my girls asked me what Cherub was – funny the words you think everyone knows . . .
Join us for our next scrapbooking night! Or book your own – happy to travel to you!
