Happy Friday and I’m excited for this weekend! Saturday I’ll be in Hamilton and Sunday in Tauranga teaching both cards and scrapbooking. Today’s share is one of the awesome layouts we will be doing in these classes:
I love vintage style projects, and the Cupcakes and Carousels Designer Series Stack (paper) lends itself beautifully to this sort of style. It was easy to layer so many prints together when they all work together so beautifully.
I’ve accents this layout with flowers from the Flourish Thinlits die set as well as many of the items from the Cupcakes & Carousels Embellishment pack. And those glittery centres of the flowers – well those are a sneak peek at what’s coming 1 June!
My particular style appreciates small details that don’t detract from the focal point: the photos. The little bits of ribbon and twine, layers of cardstock, and the scattering of sequins are some of my favorite things! And of course, most layouts are about something we love, or at least something important to us, so I use a heart on every single one.
The elements in the Embellishment Pack are fantastic for adding that extra something. And it gives you a little bit of a lot of things! Great for the at-home crafter!
Now I did say this was a double layout, so here is page two! I wanted to make a really awesome page one and then a more simple, coordinating page two that allowed for a lot more photos and story to be told. I just love how these photos portray the relationship between my three daughters.
These will look great together in an album or on a wall!
If you’d like to join us Saturday in Hamilton (1-5pm $35) or Sunday in Tauranga (10-5pm $45), I’d love to have you along! Beginners more than welcome!
