Blender Pen Tips: Ink Dragging with Floral Impressions
On last week’s Facebook Live, I shared three tips for using Blender Pens, and today’s project features the Ink Dragging Technique! I’ve used the Impressions Abloom stamp set for this monochromatic project.
I chose the colors from the current Colour Inkspiration challenge, a fun way to jump start your creativity by giving you a color palette challenge. This project features Basic Beige, Crumb Cake, and Cajun Craze.

I’ve always liked the neutrals paired with florals; it’s quite a different look for the Impressions Abloom stamp set.
For the ink dragging technique, I stamped the flowers in Crumb Cake, then went over the petals with a Blender Pen. The Blender Pen “drags” the ink from the stamped image into the white space, adding a light, colored effect to the petals.

It’s not so obvious in the photo, but I covered those tiny flowers with Versamark, which deepens the Cajun Craze cardstock. I wanted them to be darker than the flower centers, so they didn’t look too same-same.
You can achieve several tones of cardstock by adding Versamark.
