I tease my clients that at each class, chances are pretty high they will be using the Awesomely Artistic stamp set . . . and for good reason! I find this is my “go to” set this year. It just has a bit of everything and is easy to layer.
I had clear instructions to do a layout with JUST my middle daughter, Kjirsti, who was feeling slighted somehow. We have a running joke with her that we buy her a red with white polka dots present every year, so of course I had to use this particular print in the pack as the accent:
I took this concept right out of the Stampin’ Up! catalogue – they have a similar sample in there, but of course I changed it up some to fit my style and photo. I’ve used this yummy WOOD background paper from the Farmer’s Market pack . . . I could use this paper all day long.
Random, layered stamping is one of my favorites. Here I’ve used the Hello, Honey, Night of Navy, and Old Olive inks.
The wooden words from the Expressions Natural Elements adds a bit of visual texture to the layout. And these are a good price – 15 words for 10.75! (five each of Celebrate, Congrats, and Thanks – shopping links below).
I will be teaching this layout at the Hamilton Quilt and Craft Show Sept 3-6 every day at 2pm. Depending on who attends at the show, I may also teach this at the Hamilton Scrap day 19 September and the Tauranga day 26 September. See my Calendar page for a full listing.
