Today’s share is one of two Artistically Asian projects I gave to my team of demonstrators as a Christmas gift. How much fun I had making these for them!
I felt that projects with the Artistically Asian stamp set should be kept quite clean and the details unobtrusive. So although there are a few techniques here, the overall project is “clean”.
These lovely flowers are stamped using markers – colouring directly on the rubber with the brush end of our Stampin’ Write Markers. It took a little bravery to stamp the stems in Basic Black, but the effect is striking. I also used Rich Razzleberry and Sweet Sugarplum markers.
The bamboo image is heat embossed in silver, creating another layer of depth without too much distraction.
My FAVORITE part of this project, though, is the sponged background. You need two tools: Stampin Sponges and post-it notes. I have used the Smokey Slate and the Basic Grey here. Easy, tidy and perfect for this project.
Another element to a professional finish is to stamp inside the card and on the envelope to create a coordinated ensemble.
Come back tomorrow to see project 2!
