This is one I cased right off the net. Unfortunatley, I failed to save the link or the original artist, so I must apologize to her for that. But it's a stunning design; she's a genius!
I have fallen head over heels in love with this bird . . . we are told that all mini catalogue items will be deleted end of November, but there is a teeny tiny chance it will end up in the new catalogue in April. I have my fingers and toes crossed this one does; it's just a gorgeous gorgeous set.
This project features stamping on virtually just the one layer, and then a lot of layering to create the visual texture. The raised circle embellishments are easy with the 1/2 inch circle punch. The paper are the top is from Spring Silhouettes.
The aged look around the edges is achieved by sponging on Creamy Caramel ink. This is an ink colour that I use quite often and is a good one to have in your supply. Our sponges come round; cut them into six or eight triangle shapes to give you lots of surface areas for sponging. It's a great technique that adds visual interest without adding more layers of card.
