How to Use the Berry Botanical Printed Vellum
Today’s share is a cute card with the Berry Botanical printed vellum and a fun way to alter it up and showcase the translucent nature of vellum.
The Berry Botanical printed vellum is quite thick, making it ideal for this particular design. It would also work quite well for boxes and other sturdy projects.

First, I used the Fresh Freesia gingham print for the background. I suggest either using glue dots so they won’t show, or adhering through the middle. Vellum is just lovely, but one does need to be strategic on placing adhesives so it doesn’t show through.
I created a simple frame with my trimmer, and then placed the floral vellum behind the frame. It’s best to put this up on dimensionals to showcase the translucent nature of the vellum.

Just to jazz it up a bit, I used the Hydrangea Hue Shimmer Pen and the Golden Glow Shimmer pen over the blue and yellow elements. It’s hard to capture in the photograph, but there is a lovely shimmer added to the vellum. And because it’s alcohol based, it didn’t warp the vellum in any way.
Second, I used the White Gel Pen to add a few white elements to the berries and flowers. It dries quickly, and really makes a huge difference to lift the print quite a lot. These pens are well worth having!
