Today’s share is a project I made in last week’s Facebook Live using the new Sweetest Cherries bundle! I wanted to also showcase the new Sweet Sorbet ink and how Sweet Sorbet fits in with the other reds we have in our color offerings. I love how this wonderful ombre of reds in a cherry theme turned out!
I’ve used Cherry Cobbler, Real Red, and Sweet Sorbet inks for my cherries here. It’s always interesting to see how colors appear so differently depending on the overall color combination. Cherry Cobbler appears quite dark next to Real Red and Sweet Sorbet.
I white embossed the words on vellum and placed them over the darkest cherries, where they would show up the best. I’m really liking using vellum for my sentiments lately; it adds the words while still leaving everything underneath visible.
The words on the front don’t make sense until you see the inside of the card. I like this happy saying, and it’s perfect with a fruit motif.
I love using the punches for quick projects. In the video below, I’ll show you how to line up your stamped images with the punch for a perfect cut every time.
