I’ve started a new class this year called Techniques & Tea, where each class does a deep dive into related techniques. We had the first of this series in January, and we learned so much about heat embossing, both improving it and how to use it in five different ways.
This was one of the five projects the guests made to reinforce the techniques, featuring Watercolor Resist and the gorgeous Timeless Tiles stamp set. We had a lot of fun learning about how to mix colors so they didn’t end up making brown!
And another version, this time with more cool tones.
I just love the antique look of this big background stamp (I’ve just used a little portion here), and the mixed colors do remind me of old architecture with weathering effects or layers of old paint. Each one turned out differently!
