I used to find making guy cards really difficult, but lately, I’m really growing to enjoy making them. I like the challenge of using something other than the things that I would naturally pick, and finding a way to embellish without ribbon! Today’s share features the Let’s Sail bundle (stamps and punch for quick images.
This project is actually one of the three great masculine cards I share in my Let’s Sail Online Class! You can select videos only OR videos plus the kits sent right to you! You can use either the Let’s Sail bundle or another nautical set you may already have.
I used only the colors from the Neutrals pack of cardstock (plus white) for a sophisticated combination. I just had someone recently tell me the gray and burgundy combination was her favorite – and it is SO nice! (Here Basic Gray and Merry Merlot, both in the Neutrals collection).
I don’t often think to stamp on colored cardstock (here Smokey Slate), but it’s quite a nice effect for something that little bit different. This sailboat can also have a look more for a children’s card, but done in these colors, backed by all gray, really matures it right up.
