After a big weekend, I’d love to share a new video and the paper piecing technique with you today!
Catching Butterflies is one of the SaleABration gifts, and it’s such a cute set, perfect for anyone who loves butterflies, sparkles, and cute!
This stamp set is also a great one for the easy paper piecing technique! Just like paper dolls, create a perfect little dress for her out of paper.
You’ll generally want a very small print for this technique, and the Sunshine and Rainbows papers has just the right size of prints. Plus, it’s got rainbows – a great match for our happy little girl.
How to Paper Piece:
- Stamp your image onto your project. Decide which portion(s) you want paper pieced.
- Stamp your image a second time onto patterned paper, usually a small print
- Use sharp, pointed scissors to cut out the portion of the image you want to piece.
Cut right on the line.
- Adhere the cut out printed paper piece over the corresponding area of your original stamped image.
Have you seen the new Natural Tones Stampin’ Blends? Great not only for skin tones, but hair, animals, and so much more. (Video coming on that one).
Try cutting out a second set of the butterflies, cutting them out, and putting them on dimensionals to give a little lift to the image overall.
You can receive both the Catching Butterflies stamp set and the Sunshine and Rainbows paper pack FREE with a qualifying order with me through 16 March! No limit to how many free gifts you can earn.

Super adorable card Jacque! Love how you used a second set of the butterflies on dimensionals to creare a fluttering effect.
