How to Use the Bloom Where You’re Planted Suite

Today’s share is a selection of note cards with the Bloom Where You’re Planted Suite, each one showcasing a different way to use the beautifully coordinated products in this suite. It was a lot of fun stepping up each one to showcase the versatility.

Use the Bloom Where You’re Planted Designer Series Paper for quick projects

The first two versions feature the Bloom Where You’re Planted printed paper. The back sample is quickly made by cutting out the images in the paper with scissors on a simple background made with the Paper Lattice laser cuts included in the Bloom Where You’re Planted Suite.

The next sample also uses the pre-printed paper, but this time with the Plentiful Plants dies (also included in the suite).

Utilize the Plentiful Plants stamps and dies for more color variation and when the printed paper runs out

The printed papers are great for detail and quick projects, but what about when the papers run out or they aren’t quite the right colors? The Plentiful Plants bundle (the stamps and dies included in the Bloom Where You’re Planted suite) comes up next! The distinktive stamped images also work perfectly with the dies for perfectly cut out images.

The dies also include some extra pots and details, as shown above, that work well with our cardstock and foils.

Add specialty papers and embellishments to step it up

You can also add a few of the Loose Flowers for both color and texture to your potted plant.

Use just the dies and cardstock or specialty papers for more of a silhouette look

And the fourth way to use these products is to use just the dies with cardstock or specialty papers. In this sample, I’ve cut the pot out of the Copper Foil and embossed with the Hive Embossing Folder (available 4 January 2022). The leaves are from the Fluid Watercolor Paper I painted with various shades of greens.

    May I just say…I love you!!! I am also a SU Demo (US) and have been following you for a while. You stamp in my style and I love all of your creations!!! I’m trying to get my business more online and I find that I seem to be slow in everything I do, especially when making cards. I always feel rushed and behind in showing sets and things for each catalog that I can’t be as creative as I like so I tend to CASE (I will also admit that I’m an over the top card maker somewhat so I have trouble doing simple). Any suggestions for speedier card making and having enough confidence to come up with my own designs? I can do it when I don’t feel rushed (which is never when running this as a business)

    1. HI Lisa! I know just what you mean. It’s very difficult to be creative when there’s too much pressure. It takes all the fun right out of it. My best suggestion is just practice and more practice. I have found that my customers actually prefer more of a mid-level difficulty in projects – something that showcases an idea or technique, but not so complex they can’t re-create it later. Making yourself do videos and/or blogging on a very regular schedule will force you to practice and to learn to be quicker. We tend to make tasks fill as much time as we give them, so shorten that time. You’ll get quicker! 🙂
