Watercolor Shapes is one of those stamp sets that might not jump out as a “must have”, but I want to show you it can be very useful for working in with the images you may already have! It’s a great one for quick, one layer cards, too.
I have a few more card samples in the video below, but today I’ll share photos of the one I made in the video with the Valentine’s Keepsakes:
I really love how this card turned out. It’s simple, but has some really great details, like the bit of sparkle through the “flowers” with the Champagne Rhinestones and the subtle texture over the top with the Tasteful Textile folder.
The Watercolor Shapes image is the Crumb Cake circle in the background. It’s a quick backdrop for our heart flowers to visually anchor our focal point.
The Watercolor Shapes are designed to stamp out with color variation, so don’t think you’ve done it wrong. I love it – love the darker around the edges look. And the best part is it’s just a matter of inking and stamping – no extra steps required!
I’ve also added the Shimmer Crystal Effects to the hearts to give them some extra shine, while keeping the card simple (not adding more layers). The Crystal Effects is a great way to add interest to an otherwise flat image.
