And it’s already the last day of May! I am surely glad it’s been a mild winter so far!
Just a reminder that today is the last day to order from the Retiring List (and check out the Clearance Rack while there). Good bargains to be had and there are always items that are sorely missed. Please do have a look before midnight tonight.
Today’s share is a scrapbooking layout I designed months ago and never posted. These yummy papers are being discontinued as of tomorrow, so today is the day to post:
I’ve used the Cool Treats Bundle along with the Sprinkles Embellishments and the coordinating Designer Series Paper. How I adore these fresh, miniature ice blocks! It’s easy to create the different shades of the same colour even with one ink pad:
- Stamp off (onto a scrap) and then stamp your project for a lighter colour. You can even stamp off multiple times
- Or stamp over the same spot twice for a darker colour. So easy!
The design for this layout came from the Demonstrator-Only magazine, Impressions. They had a sample done in different papers and images, and I adapted to what I wanted to use. We are very inundated with inspiration being Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators – finding ideas is no problem at all!!!
With the new catalogue launching tomorrow, it’s a great time to join my team, enjoy a discount, attend team gatherings and trainings, and start your own small or big business! Find out more HERE.
I forget to to this, but using die cuts and tone on tone paper is a great look. And what an inexpensive and easy way to embellish or create a background, too.
I also created up a simple Pocket Page to go along with the layout, seeing as it was only a single page layout. Pocket Pages are a great way to add in a lot more photos; you can just slip these pages in with your standard 12×12 pages. I’d put a lot more photos on this than I have here; I just put all the embellishments facing one way for ease of my students and the photography.
Thank you so much for stopping by and see you tomorrow in a new Stampin’ Up! Catalogue year!
