Happy Wednesday! I needed to make a card today for a good friend who really helped out our family last week. It was a perfect opportunity to play along with the JAI Challenge this week, too:
My favorite masculine stamp set at the moment is the new Going Global, paired with the Going Places Paper Stack. I love the astronomical, orienteering, and map references.
I chose to go with the astronomical references here; he’s a family friend and didn’t want to go too mushy.
Tips:
~ Use the Star Framelits (two nested together) to create the star outline. Easy!
~ Roll the edges of the circle in the Memento Black Ink to help it stand out from the Vanilla Background
~ Remove the Mint threads from the new Baker’s Twine Combo Pack to make black twine.
~ Use the Project Life Journal Pens to doodle a simple background and borders for the stars.
This card is actually a 5×6 1/2 inch size, so I created a custom envelope with a coordinating liner. I’ll tuck some movie tickets inside and good to go!
