Today’s share is the project I demonstrated in a recent Facebook Live, and showcases the layering effects of the new Butterflies and Flowers Layering Masks. It was fun to try quite a few different color combinations:
For this sample, I used copper embossing powder over the top of the butterfly for the details. Not only does it give a bit of shine, but I love the actual texture. And I do love copper on almost anything!
I kept these flowers also quite monochromatic with Balmy Blue and Night of Navy.
Next I tried a softer version with the more subtle colors of Pool Party, Fresh Freesia, and Petal Pink. I do like the effect of layering the two colors on top of each other for depth and detail on those flowers. There’s the potential there to make even a third color.
I also tried a version with the more intense bright colors. I do like how this butterfly turned out, too. The flowers are actually Mango Melody and Polished Pink, so I found it quite interesting how when inked over top of each other, the flowers look quite red.
One way you can make the sentiment stamps you already have “do more” is cut them out into separate pieces or separate words. That’s one way you can use only portions of the sentiments or rearrange them to fit your card just how you like.
If you’d like to make projects with the Butterflies and Flowers Layering Masks, I have an online class for you! You can select to take the class with or without the kits and masks sent to you!
